Stable
Here is a stable we designed and built. It's a shop on the inside, but stable-looking on the outside. The foundation is on void forms and caissons that go to bedrock due to expansive soil in the area. The framing is of steel, LVL, LSL, and engineered joists (no conventional lumber). The siding and trim is cementitious. It includes energy code-compliant horse doors (our own design). Public water, natural gas, heat, air conditioning, septic system, and 480V 3-phase power. The bathroom has a shower. It has steel, cantilevered balconies, a mezzanine, and an atrium with a hoist hitch.
