Antique Oil Wagon Restoration
This is a STANDARD OIL Co. Kerosene Wagon from the late 1800s that we restored. By 1892, petroleum products were common in the United States. The wagon has three separate compartments: One for kerosene, one for lubricating oil, and one for gasoline. As late as the 1920s, horse-drawn wagons were still the primary means for moving these products from the railroad depot to customers.
